Abstract: The purpose of the present work is the investigation of the perturbation formalism developed by Lebowitz, Stell and Baer [l] for a classical fluid when expressed in a form suitable for lattice gases [2]. The main interest lies in the prediction of the properties of some simple systems when the systematic expansion of the formalism is carried through.
