Abstract
This course surveys the major classical and contemporary sociological theoretical traditions, exploring their historical contexts as well as their relevance to current issues in Sociology.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
➢ Understand and apply the various Sociological theories.
➢ Understand the basic biographies and theoretical outlooks of various sociological theorists.
➢ Connect sociological theories to their various applications in the world outside of the theory books.

✓ Understanding of sociological imagination and major theories and concepts
✓ Ability to connect theoretical concepts to the everyday world and current issues
✓ Knowledge of the basic history of sociological thought and an understanding of the process through which it developed in the past and is developing today
