Abstract
COURSE DESCRIPTION: We will be studying ספר שמואל א' thematically, focusing on the leadership abilities of Shmuel, Shaul, David and Yonatan. We will analyze the interpersonal relationships so poignantly portrayed in the ספר , as well. This will be accomplished through a close examination and appreciation of the ,פשט and the bigger overall themes in Tanakh. We will also be studying midrashim, medieval and modern commentaries.
