Abstract
This course will cover basic mechanisms of reproductive biology with an emphasis on human reproduction. Gametogenesis, fertilization and implantation, reproductive health and methods used for the analysis of fertility are among the topics covered. Certain ethical issues will be considered and discussed in class. For successful completion of the course, it is extremely important for you to attend every lecture.
During the semester, pairs of students will give short presentations to the class on a given topic. There will be two exams, a midterm and a final. Students are expected to take exams at their regularly scheduled times. Only for a very valid reason will any makeups be allowed.
