Course Syllabus: The student will learn about the history and key terms of the Chassidic movement. Students will learn how to critically examine the philosophy of the Chassidic masters, as well as understand the historic context which gave rise to the Chassidic movement.
Texts: Students will study the work “Flames of Faith: An Introduction to Chassidic Thought” by Rabbi Zev Reichman. There is no cost for this text as it can be found on Sefaria.org
