GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to introduce students to a variety of increasingly complex Hebrew texts and advance their skills in Hebrew reading, in literal and grammatical analysis of Hebrew textual data, in understanding the role of context in textual comprehension as well as vocabulary acquisition, and in producing grammatically well-formed oral and written expression in Hebrew.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this course students will be able to:
• Add up to 200 new words to their active Hebrew vocabulary
• Understand the role of context in using Hebrew words properly
• Acquire high level thinking strategies in reading and analyzing Hebrew textual data, evaluating the data, and applying it inside and outside the classroom
• Develop better communicative skills, both oral and written
