dc.description.abstractProvides an overview of common statistical methods in psychology, experimental design, and data analysis. Topics covered in this course include descriptive techniques, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, correlation, regression, chi-square test, and non-parametric analyses. Reading comprehension of scientific articles will also be discussed. STUDENT LEARNING OBJECTIVES: During this course of study, students will be able to: A. Explain the role of various statistical models as well as conduct and interpret inferential and descriptive statistics. B. Plan and design analyses, formulate Null- and Alternative hypotheses and appropriately test these using statistical software C. Read and interpret statistical analyses found in scientific articles D. Apply and communicate results of statistical analyses conducted during class.en_US
