dc.description.abstractCourse Description: This course is a combination of lecture and discussion regarding human sexuality from psychological, sociological and physiological perspectives. My goal is to both disseminate information and prompt you to think about a variety of topics including: historical and cultural influences on sexuality, research methodology, gender-typing and gender roles, attraction, love and relationships, sexual behavior and orientation, sex across the lifespan, arousal, procreation, sexual dysfunction. We will examine topical controversial issues and the influence of economics and public policy on human sexuality. __Course Objectives:___ After completing this course, students will: be familiar with sexual anatomy, understand sexual development and physiological responses, be able to research and critically evaluate the literature in sexuality, understand the myriad influences on sexual functioning and behavior, be comfortable discussing human sexuality and be familiar with many areas of controversy related to sexualityen_US
