Questions to be examined:
• What was the role of the Mishkan during this era?
• What were the people of Bnai Yisrael like? What were their beliefs and practices? Weaknesses and strengths?
• What were the positive and negative aspects of monarchy? How are they seen in the characters of Shaul and David?
• What makes a good leader? A good king? How does the leader/king interact with G-d?
• How did Bnai Yisrael interact with the Plishtim? How did the Plishtim interact with them?
• Who were Amalek and what are they doing in Sefer Shmuel?
• What was the role of women in this time?
