Abstract

As the prophet designated to predict and warn of the impending destruction of the First Temple, by promoting religious reforms Yirmiyahu struggled to prevent or at least delay the exile. This course examines Yirmiyahu’s attempts to motivate his constituents to repent, and the ways in which his prophecies are timeless, unique, and inspiring.
