Abstract
This course will review major human metabolic pathways with the focus on biochemical alterations that accompany a wide range of human diseases and conditions. An emphasis will also be on advanced methods of molecular medicine used for diagnostic and treatment of genetic and metabolic disorders. The course will consist primarily of lectures, complemented with classroom discussions and case study assignments. During the semester, students will give short presentations to the class on a given topic.
