Abstract
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the world is far reaching, with the destruction of the
global economy, closing of schools and institutions, lockdowns, isolations and millions of deaths
being broadcasted worldwide. Occupational therapists, specifically ones that work with the
pediatric population, were no exception to this impact. This paper discusses the various effects
COVID-19 has had on pediatric occupational therapists and the field as a whole, due to the
restrictions and unfamiliar territory that comes with working as an essential worker during a
global pandemic. Reflections of occupational therapists and predictions for the future of
occupational therapy are discussed
