"Rabbi Chayim S. Chasan" was one of the pseudonyms used by Hallie Lynn (Chaya Sarah) Cantor, writer and associate editor of THE JEWISH READER.
The story of Reb Aryeh Leib Sarahs (1730-1791), student of the Ba'al Shem Tov and the Maggid of Mezhirech. Scholar and known miracle-worker, he was named after his mother, instead of his father, because of his mother's exceptional character.
