FYWR1020: First Year Writing

Abstract

This course will challenge writers to develop a personal approach to writing and the revision process. We will explore the importance of communication, which begins with articulating our thoughts to ourselves. Through conversation, readings, and written assignments, we’ll begin to examine the connection between ideas and the language we use to communicate them. Writers will be expected to establish a personal appreciation for their own process of writing, and we will tether this appreciation to the practical applications inside, and outside, of the classroom.
