Course syllabus / YU only
We will be writing about our lives, the world, and our lives within the world today—for better or for worse. In this class students will be asked to reflect on themselves, on their own humanity, on events occurring in the “real world” (which includes the city of New York), on their own reading and writing habits and on their own perceptions and observations, and to shape those thoughts and feelings into various kinds of writing. The hope is that students will emerge from the course with increased confidence in their writing abilities and in their ability to continue to learn to write-- specifically for the academy, but also just for their own capacity to think and to be well.
