dc.description.abstractJudah David Eisenstein was known as the Ba’al Ha-Otsarot, Master of the Treasuries, for his compendia of Jewish law, lore, and literature. Join Rabbi Dr. Asher Oser, as he discusses Eisenstein's Ozar Yisrael, the First Hebrew Encyclopedia. Rabbi Oser has a PhD in Modern Jewish History from BRGS and rabbinic ordination from RIETS. Originally from Australia, he is rabbi of Ohel Leah Synagogue in Hong Kong. In addition to his dissertation on Eisenstein's work, he has contributed articles to the Encyclopaedia Judaica.en_US
