Abstract
ABOUT THE PLAY Christopher, Sebastian's first cousin, is the only eyewitness to Sebastian's death. It is obvious that Christopher has reacted to this tragic event by suffering a nervous breakdown. There are social, psychological, personal and monetary considerations integral to the truth of how Sebastian died last summer. Sebastian's father's attempt to maintain the proper, immortalized representation of his son despite reality becomes the major plot and crisis for unraveling the mystery surrounding Sebastian's death. There is only one thing one can be sure of until the final curtain - something mysterious and sinister happened - Suddenly Last Summer. (Joshua Seidemann)
