C 2150 C Cognitive Psychology Cognitive Psychology is the study of how our minds sense, and make sense, out of our external and internal world. In this course we are going to be exploring the different areas that comprise the study of Cognitive Psychology including Brain Function, Perception, Attention, Memory, and Language. The learning objectives as we study each of these topics are to: 1. Know the content of that area by being able to define and give examples of the critical terms 2. Know and critically analyze key research studies with respect to the different experimental methodologies and the emerging data from these studies that researchers have used to learn about the cognitive processes. 3. Know and be able to compare and contrast the different conceptual and theoretical approaches that cognitive psychologists had proposed to understand the nature of a particular cognitive process. 4. Apply the information from the text, lectures, and outside assigned materials to our everyday experience.en_US
