Drawing and model making are the primary means of spatial representation and investigation. It is through this media that the idea begins to evolve as form. This course focuses on model making and its implementation as a three-dimensional communication tool in application to various design disciplines. Starting with scale drawing as a foundation, and with an emphasis on materials and techniques, the entire design and construction process will be explored from sketch models through finished color renditions. Models themselves are artworks beyond their purpose. This will become apparent in our work throughout the semester.en_US
