Five types of neurophysiological intervention for cerebral palsy were analyzed and compared using evaluative criteria based on the literature. It was concluded that each originator of an approach developed his or her technique in accordance with that originator's individual training, experience and perception of how to handle cerebral palsy. Objective criteria for comparing approaches are lacking and, therefore, another purpose of this paper was to establish such criteria.;Insights into the etiology and dynamics of cerebral palsy were also gleaned from this research, and indications as to the possible directions that the research into rehabilitation intervention may take are suggested.
