Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to explore Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder, their symptoms, and their interactions. In many cases, these two disorders are comorbid and overlap in many areas that can create a difficulty in a patient’s life. ASD and GAD were examined in depth, looking at all their symptoms and how to treat them in the best possible manner. Many studies have been done to explore GAD and ASD, but it has been found that there is not enough research to create a manualized and all-around effective treatment for individuals diagnosed with both ASD and GAD. More in-depth research has been suggested that would give scientists and clinicians the ability to use said research to create a better treatment system.
