Our study of Greek transcriptions of *h provides a tool for dating Greek translations of Hebrew books. The transcriptions in 2 Esdras, the canonical Greek translation of Ezra-Nehemiah, belong to the the second century C.E., while the transcriptions in the Greek version of Judith appear to be earlier than the first century C.E.en_US
