dc.description.abstractAbout the Play Flowers for Algernon is a poignant, tragic story. We hope the audience con empathize with the compelling story of Charlie Gordon, a willing victim of a strange scientific medical experiment. Charlie is retarded and is able to live in peace in the world that he knows. It is only when he joins the ranks of the "normal" that Charlie finds himself in trouble with the social attitudes for too many of us shore. (from Program p. 12)
