Abstract
This thesis will explore the various definitions of the trait of humility according to both Jewish and secular philosophers over the past two and a half millennia. We will first examine and compare the views of the Rambam and Aristotle. We will then examine and compare two mainstream modem Jewish views on humility (Luzzato and the Netziv) and the two main modem secular views on humility (Weidman et al.). (from Introduction)
