Abstract

Goals • To develop an understanding of the theory, practice, and application of organic chemistry. Objectives • To acquire familiarity with basic techniques used in an organic chemistry laboratory and the skills to conduct the appropriate experiments leading to separation, purification, structure determination, and synthesis of a variety of compounds. • To work with state-of-the-art instrumentation and computational chemistry software.
