Arts2511: PAINTING FUNDAMENTALS

Abstract

In this introduction to painting we will make a good study of the fundamentals so that you can become familiar and comfortable with the use of acrylic paint on a variety of surfaces. When the semester is complete you should be able to rely on your ability to make good use of the materials and techniques and create paintings that are well composed, luminous and accessible. You will have developed a basic vocabulary in paint on which to build in the future.
