dc.description.abstract	As I left Gaza last month from my visit with the soldiers, I felt that a part of me stayed behind. It was a terrifying experience being in a war zone. Yet I was leaving while our sons and daughters in the IDF remained. Even more heartbreaking was that we still have over 100 brothers and sisters in captivity. One cannot imagine the terror of their daily experiences. Today though we do not need to imagine, for some of the released hostages have shared stories of their time in Gaza. From them we hear very clearly that our worst nightmares are being realized: hunger, lack of medical supplies and sexual abuse.
