Abstract: Throughout this work, I plan to analyze the origins of modern scientific racism, starting from the Reconquista and ending in the mid-20th century with Nazi racist ideology and practice. Many do not realize that there is a connection between these two time periods as the Limpieza de Sangre laws enacted in Spain began the idea that Jews were a separate race and the German National Socialist Party manifested the logical extreme of this idea.
