Abstract: | Fundamental principles of nutrition for healthy living of the individual and the family. The course covers digestion, absorption, metabolism, and function of nutrients. It explores safe food practices for individuals. Beginning stages of life cycle nutrition are covered with a focus on the Ellyn Satter Institute approach to eating that promotes practical, positive, and joyful eating. |
