Abstract: “The Musculoskeletal System: Traumas and Treatments” will provide students with an in-depth view of the human musculoskeletal system. We will explore the muscles, bones, and joints of the human body, and learn how each works in independently and in unison to create and limit our movements. We will discuss common physical injuries and conditions, and review treatment options including therapy, pain management, and surgery. This course will also cover a variety of special topics, including the effects upon the musculoskeletal system of pregnancy, exercise, balance, women’s health, and more
