Abstract: 1. Course Description: This course should serve as a guide through many of the laws pertaining to marriage. Halacha, as it will be presented, will be traced from its point of origin to modern poskim. However, this class is NOT a course in psak. As such, you will still need to consult your local posek regarding psak issues. This course should equip you with the skills to ask informed questions of your rav. 2. Course Goals: For the student to be informed of the laws of marriage, gain appreciation for the development of these laws, and understand how these laws manifest themselves in practice.
