Abstract: This course will focus on the human capacity for morality and how that capacity develops across the lifespan. We will review theory and research on a broad range of topics within moral psychology, drawing from social, cognitive, and developmental psychology, as well as moral philosophy, in order to build an understanding of how both children and adults use various components of social cognition to guide moral thought and action.
