Abstract: | Course Description: Studying the unique texts and ideas of Polish Chassidut with a primary focus on Shem Mishmuel and Sefat Emet on the parashah. Student Learning Objectives: The student will critically examine the historical background, basic concepts, and key terms of Polish Chassidic thought. The students will learn how to successfully the unique features of Polish Chassidic styles of Torah thought, decode Polish Chassidic literature, and critically assess Polish Chassidic philosophy.
