Abstract: COURSE OBJECTIVE: To explore and understand the nature of the halachic process. We will study classical texts of Halacha – the Talmud and its commentaries – in order to gain an understanding of the manner in which the halacha views itself and the manner in which the halachic process operated in ancient times and the way in which it operates today.
