Abstract: | The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the world is far reaching, with the destruction of the global economy, closing of schools and institutions, lockdowns, isolations and millions of deaths being broadcasted worldwide. Occupational therapists, specifically ones that work with the pediatric population, were no exception to this impact. This paper discusses the various effects COVID-19 has had on pediatric occupational therapists and the field as a whole, due to the restrictions and unfamiliar territory that comes with working as an essential worker during a global pandemic. Reflections of occupational therapists and predictions for the future of occupational therapy are discussed |
