dc.description.abstractThe overwhelming consensus is that exercise is both mentally and physically beneficial for all people. Most physicians would agree that living an active lifestyle is crucial for good health. However, what exactly takes place in the body when an individual works out? This paper will explore the physiological and psychological effects of exercise, with a specific emphasis on yoga, running, and weightlifting. The physiological effects will be analyzed in terms of BMI, body weight, heart rate, lung function, and blood sugar levels. Regarding psychological effects, the impact of exercise on depression, stress, and happiness levels will be reviewed. This paper will also delve into the history of exercise and discuss which type of exercise is ideal for different people, depending on goals, age, and health. Lastly the Torah/halachic views of exercise will be considereden_US
