| Abstract: | במהלך ימי הביניים, ובמיוחד בקהילות היהודיות באגן הים התיכון, היו הדרשות חל ק מתפילות השבת בבית הכנסת ומאות רבבים הכינו ודרשו אלפי דרשות לקהילות רבו ת ומגוונות. למרות זאת, אוספים מועטים בלבד של דרשות מימי הביניים הגיעו לידינו , ועל כן כל כתב יד של דרשות הוא מקור יקר ערך. להיסטוריון, הדרשות מאירות א ת השקפות עולמו של הדרשן, טעם קהלו וצרכיו הדחופים; לקורא הכללי, המרחק בזמ ן ובמרחב המפריד בינו לדרשן וההצטמצמות של מסר בעל פה לטקסט כתוב אינם מבטלי ם את יכולתה של הדרשה הכתובה לשמור מכוחה של הדרשה המקורית לאלף ולחנך , להלהיב ולבדר, לבקר ולנחם. |
