Abstract: | “"Primal Fear" is a story of murder, civil corruption, investigative and legal manipulation. Martin Vail is a defense attorney intent on giving his client, Aaron Stampler, a defense which will keep him from getting the death penalty. This moral, legal and ethical dilemma is the basis of the contentious relationship between Vail and his half-brother, Jon Venable, who has been hired to represent the State in prosecuting Aaron Stampler. The professional and personal masks worn by all the characters in "Primal Fear" change often and are never what they seem to be. |
